Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you — the studio using Ecrino — and Dounsky Group L.L.C-FZ. Opening an account accepts them. They are written to be read in one sitting.
1. What Ecrino is
A tool for running a bespoke jewellery project: a client, the stones they are shown, the designs they respond to, and the offer at the end. It is software, not advice. Nothing it calculates — a margin, a VAT figure, a metal cost from today’s spot price — is a professional opinion, and the number you send a client is yours.
2. Your account
You must be 16 or over and using Ecrino for a business. Keep your password to yourself; anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Tell us at once if you think somebody else is in it.
An owner may invite colleagues and set what each of them can do. The owner is responsible for the people they let in, and for taking away a seat when someone leaves.
3. Your work stays yours
Every client, stone, design, photograph and offer you put into Ecrino remains yours. We claim no ownership of it and no licence to it beyond the one thing running the service requires: storing it, and showing it to the people you send a link to. We do not use it to train anything, and we do not show it to anyone else.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload — including photographs taken by someone else — and for what you tell your clients about their own data. Where Ecrino holds personal data on your behalf, we act on your instructions; the privacy page sets out how.
4. What you may not do
- Break the law with it, or use it to help somebody else do so.
- Upload anything you have no right to, anything unlawful, or anything designed to damage a reader’s device.
- Try to reach another studio’s data, work around the sign-in, or probe the service for weaknesses without telling us first — a report sent in good faith is welcome and will not be met with a lawyer.
- Hammer the service automatically in a way that degrades it for everybody else.
5. Price
Ecrino is currently offered without charge. If that changes, existing accounts will be told by email before any charge applies, and no card is ever taken without being asked for. Nothing here obliges you to pay for something you did not agree to.
6. Availability
We work to keep the service up and the data intact, but it is provided as it is, without a guarantee of uninterrupted service. Maintenance, provider outages and the ordinary hazards of the internet happen. Keep your own copy of anything you could not bear to lose — a photograph of a stone you no longer have, most of all.
7. Ending it
You can leave whenever you like, from inside the product, with no notice and no conversation: Settings, then Close your account on the website or Delete my account in the app. It takes effect immediately and it cannot be undone — an owner’s account takes the whole studio with it. We may suspend or close an account that breaches section 4, or that is being used to harm somebody. Except where the law or the harm makes it impossible, we will tell you why and give you a chance to get your work out first.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Dounsky Group L.L.C-FZ is not liable for lost profit, lost business, or indirect loss arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are untouched by anything written here.
9. Changes to these terms
We may change them. If a change is material you will be told by email before it takes effect, and continuing to use Ecrino afterwards accepts it. If you would rather not, close the account — section 7 is one screen away.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law where you live, nor of the right to bring a claim there.
